Go-live checklist ​

The checks to do before you send a page or a share link with a 3D model to your customers.

Do these checks before you send a page or a link to your customers. The checks take approximately ten minutes.

Before you start ​

  • The model is on your page, or the share link is ready.
  • You have a computer and a phone. If you have a tablet, use it too.

Check each device ​

  1. Open the page on the computer.
  2. Open the page on the tablet.
  3. Open the page on the phone.
  4. On each device, turn the model.
  5. If the viewer is cropped, give its container a height or an aspect ratio.

Check a slow connection ​

  1. On the phone, turn off Wi-Fi.
  2. Open the page with mobile data.
  3. Make sure that the model loads.

Check each variant ​

  1. Open each model that the page shows.
  2. Select each option, for example each metal.
  3. If the page URL sets the metal, open each URL. See Set the metal from the page URL.

  1. In the actions menu of each model, select Share.
  2. Make sure that the access menu at the top of the Link tab shows Anyone with the link.
  3. Look at the Allow download switch below Drive link. When the switch is off, visitors cannot download the model.
  4. Below People with access, make sure that each person has the correct role.
  5. Open the share link in a private browser window.
  6. If the page asks you to sign in, make the file public.

Logo and watermark

A free plan always shows the iJewel logo on an embed. If an "Evaluation Version" watermark shows, the domain is not registered. See The evaluation watermark shows.

Tell your team ​

  1. If your website has an analytics tool, make sure that it records the page.
  2. Tell the people in your company who answer customer questions.
