Enterprise instances
How a dedicated enterprise instance differs from the shared iJewel platform.
The iJewel platform runs in two forms. The shared platform is where every person creates an account. A dedicated enterprise instance is a whitelabel workspace for one organization. It holds only the files of that organization.
Dedicated hosting is part of the organization plans: Silver, Gold and Platinum. See Plans and limits.
| Topic | Shared platform | Dedicated enterprise instance |
|---|---|---|
| Files | The files of your account | Only the files of your organization |
| Sign-in | Email and password, or Google | Email and password |
| Billing and domains | The Plan and billing tab, and Domains on the Apps, embed and API tab | Through your main account on the shared platform |
| Team | The Team tab | The Team tab, with Give access and Remove from the team |
| File types | The standard list | Your organization can limit the list |
| Public links | Available | Your organization can turn them off for all users |
Your main account
You keep one main account on the shared platform. To move between the main account and the instance, select your name at the bottom of the left sidebar. Then select Switch workspace.
On the instance, the Plan and billing tab and the Domains card can show Connect billing account. Select Connect account. Then sign in with the same email address as the workspace admin. Your files and your team roles stay the same.
What else is different
- Only an admin sees the Storage and uploads and Branding tabs in Settings.
- A member who is not an admin sees Access denied on the Plan and billing, Apps, embed and API, Team and Privacy tabs.
- Personal to Organization sync on the Apps, embed and API tab works only in the workspace of an organization. It copies the models of your personal account into the workspace. Select Sync now, then enter Password of the personal account.
