Supported devices and browsers
What a device, a browser and a web page need for Ring Try-On.
Try-On runs in the web browser. The customer does not install an app.
Device and browser
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| App | None. Try-On runs in the browser. |
| Camera | A camera, and camera permission in the browser. |
| Graphics | WebGL 2 support in the browser. |
| Hardware | A graphics processor, processor cores and memory that are sufficient for live video. |
| WebXR or AR Quick Look | Not necessary. Try-On does not use them. |
Weak hardware
A device with a weak graphics processor or a software renderer can fail the device check. An integrated graphics processor on Chrome for Windows can run Try-On slowly.
Web page
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Address | HTTPS. Browsers block the camera on a page that is not secure. |
| Start | A tap or a click on a button. Try-On cannot start automatically. |
| iframe embed | Camera permission on the iframe, for example allow="camera; fullscreen". |
| Mini Viewer SDK | The production domain registered with iJewel3D. |
Jewellery and projects
| Item | Supported |
|---|---|
| Jewellery type | Rings. |
| Project types | A ring model, a Ring Configurator project or a Wedding Band Builder project. |
| Model formats | GLB, GLTF, 3DM, FBX and OBJ. |
| Setup | One saved Try-On configuration for each project. |
A Try-On view is a preview of the ring on the hand. It does not measure the ring size.
