Before you start
- You need access to the DNS settings of your domain. Your domain provider or your IT contact has this access.
- You need a free domain slot in your plan. Settings → Apps, embed and API → Domains shows the slots that you use, below the Domains title.
- You need to know the hostname that you want to use. Each hostname is one domain. For example,
yourbrand.comandviewer.yourbrand.comare two domains.
Add the domain
In the iJewel platform, open Settings → Apps, embed and API → Domains.
Select Add domain. The Add a domain dialog opens.
In Domain, type the hostname, for example

Select Add domain.
All 6 steps are done.
If you select Test site in Use, the platform adds a domain for tests. A test site does not use a slot of your plan. The platform always allows localhost and *.local addresses. You do not add them.

- Make sure that the record type is
CNAME. - Make sure that the name and the value are the same as the values in the platform.
- Wait. Then open Domain settings of the domain and select Check Status again. A DNS change can take some hours.
The page shows an SSL error
The platform makes the security certificate after the DNS record is active. In Domain settings of the domain, the SSL line below the status shows the progress. Wait until the status shows Domain is active. Then open the link again.
