Start mode and autoplay
Set an embed to start with a cover and a play button, or to load the model immediately.
An embed can start in two modes. The Autoplay switch selects the mode.
| Start mode | What the visitor sees | Autoplay |
|---|---|---|
| Cover and play button | A cover image with a play button. The model loads after the visitor selects the play button. | Off (default) |
| Autoplay | The model loads immediately. No play button shows. | On |
Before you start
- Make the file public. Refer to Share a model with a link.
- Make the embed first. Refer to Create an embed.
Set the start mode
Step 1 of 5
- Open the Share dialog of the model.
- Select the Embed tab, then select Embed settings.
- In How the model is presented, turn Autoplay on or off.
- Select Copy HTML.
- Replace the old embed code on your website.
All 5 steps are done.
Add movement at the start
Two more settings are in How the model is presented.
| Switch | Effect | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Turntable animation | The camera turns around the model when the viewer starts. | Off |
| Interaction prompt | The viewer shows the interaction prompt to the visitor. | On |
Turntable animation needs a Startup, Professional, Advanced or organization plan. See Toolbar and controls.
Try-On does not start automatically
A browser gives camera access only after the visitor taps a button. Thus the AR button always needs a tap.
