Show a model by tag or name
Use one embed address pattern that finds each model by its product tag or by its file name.
A standard embed address contains the file ID of one model. A store with many products can use one address pattern for all products. The viewer then finds each model by a tag or by the file name.
Before you start
- The model file must be public. A tag or name embed cannot open a private file.
- Each tag or file name must match only one public file in the folder. If more files match, the viewer shows the first match in that folder tree.
- Enterprise customers must replace
https://ijewel3d.com/drivewith the address of their own instance.
Tag the model and copy the folder ID
Step 1 of 6
- In the iJewel platform, open the folder that contains the model.
- Right-click the model.
- If the file is not public, select Make Public.
- Right-click the model again and select Edit Tags.
- Add a tag that only this product has, for example
pid-12345. - Copy the folder ID from the address bar of your browser.
All 6 steps are done.
The folder address has the format https://ijewel3d.com/drive/folders/FOLDER_ID. The folder ID is the text after /folders/.
Embed by tag
Put the tag and the folder ID into this address:
text
https://ijewel3d.com/drive/files/embedded?tag=pid-12345&scope=FOLDER_IDThen use the address as the src of the iframe:
html
<iframe
src="https://ijewel3d.com/drive/files/embedded?tag=pid-12345&scope=FOLDER_ID"
title="Interactive 3D product viewer"
loading="lazy"
allow="autoplay; fullscreen; xr-spatial-tracking; web-share"
allowfullscreen
style="width: 100%; min-height: 420px; aspect-ratio: 16 / 9; border: 0;"
></iframe>Embed by name
Use the exact file name with its extension:
text
https://ijewel3d.com/drive/files/embedded?name=wedding-ring.glb&scope=FOLDER_IDOne pattern for the full store
Tag each file with the product ID from your store. Your product page template can then write that ID into the address.
