Change the link preview image ​

Update the thumbnail of a model so that the preview picture shows the current look.

The iJewel platform keeps a thumbnail for each model. The thumbnail is the picture that represents the model. After you change the look of a model, make the thumbnail again.

A share link on your own domain uses the cover image of the model as the link preview. If the model has no cover image, the link uses this thumbnail.

Before you start ​

  • Save your changes to the model in the editor. The new thumbnail comes from the saved settings of the model.
  • You can update the thumbnails of more than one file at the same time.

Update the thumbnail ​

Step 1 of 4
  1. Select the file in your file list.
  2. Right-click the file.
  3. Select More, then Update thumbnail.
  4. Wait for the message Thumbnails updated.

While the platform makes the picture, the message Updating Thumbnails shows.

If the message Failed to update thumbnail shows, do the steps again. If the problem continues, contact support.

Change the cover of an embed ​

An embed shows a cover image before the visitor starts the viewer. You set this cover in the editor.

  1. Open the model in the editor.
  2. Select the Embed (</>) tool.
  3. Turn on High Resolution Cover.
  4. To make the cover again, select Update Cover.
