Share a model with a link
Make a file public and copy a link that opens the model in the 3D viewer.
A share link opens your model in the 3D viewer. Anyone with the link can view a public file.
Before you start
- Upload the model to the iJewel platform. Refer to Upload a model.
- A new file is private. Only you can see the file until you share it.
- A link on your own domain needs a registered domain. Refer to Connect a custom domain.
Make the file public
- Right-click the file and select Share › Manage links and access. The Share window opens on the Link tab.
- At the top of the Link tab, open the access menu. It shows Restricted.
- Select Anyone with the link.
All 3 steps are done.
The text below the menu is Anyone with a link can open it. No sign in.
Public links on an enterprise instance
If the message Public sharing is disabled by the admin shows, your administrator does not permit public links. Speak to your administrator.
Copy the link

- Select the copy button next to the link.
- Paste the link in an email or a message.

| Link | What the link opens |
|---|---|
| Viewer link | The model in the viewer on your own domain (a registered domain or a link template). The label Default shows your default domain. With no domain and no link template, the tab shows No viewer link yet. |
| Drive link | The file on the iJewel platform. |
A viewer link works only when the access menu shows Anyone with the link. When the access is Restricted, the text Off while access is Restricted shows.
Stop the link
- Open the Share window for the file.
- In the access menu at the top of the Link tab, select Restricted.
After that, the link does not open the model for the public. Only you and the people that you added can open it, after they sign in.
