Register a domain for the SDK

Add the hostname of your website as a Self-Hosted Domain so the SDK viewer runs with a license.

The SDK puts the viewer directly into your own web pages. The license for the SDK is tied to the domain. There is no license key. The viewer checks the domain automatically, so each website that runs the SDK must be in your domain list.

An iframe needs no registration

An iframe embed works with no domain registration. Register a domain only when your developer uses the SDK.

Before you start

  • You need the exact hostname of the website. example.com, www.example.com and shop.example.com are three different hostnames.
  • Register each hostname that loads the viewer.
  • Settings → Apps, embed and API → Domains shows your domain slots.

Add the domain

Step 1 of 6
  1. In the iJewel platform, open Settings → Apps, embed and API → Domains.
  2. Select Add domain.
  3. Type the hostname in Domain, for example www.example.com.
  4. In Use, select Live store.
  5. In Hosting, select Your website hosts the viewer.
  6. Select Add domain.

Type only the hostname. Do not include https://, a port or a page path.

The platform always allows localhost and *.local addresses. You do not add them.

If you have no free production slot

The dialog shows the notice No production domain slots or All production slots in use. You can then add the domain only as a Test site. A test site does not use a production slot. The Use column shows Test site for this domain.

To move a test site to production:

Step 1 of 3
  1. If you have no free slot, select Buy domain.
  2. Open the ⋯ menu of the domain.
  3. Select Activate for production.
